Daniel's Story
Daniel Garibay Rodriguez is a Central Valley community leader running for Congress in California's 13th District. Rooted in the values of service, community, and accountability, Daniel has dedicated his career to working alongside youth, families, and local organizations to expand access to wellness resources, strengthen partnerships, and build programs that create real impact.
As someone shaped by the strength and resilience of the Central Valley, Daniel understands both the challenges working families face and the power of community to create change. His work has always been grounded in the belief that every community deserves to be seen, supported, and invested in.
Most recently, Daniel served as a Behavioral Health Services Manager at Livingston Community Health, where he worked to improve access to mental health services and strengthen systems that support community well-being.
Previously, he served as a Senior Program Manager at the Youth Leadership Institute, where he helped lead youth development and community wellness initiatives, fostered youth leadership, and advanced health education efforts designed to meet people where they are. Across every role, Daniel has remained committed to helping communities that have too often been overlooked receive the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve.
Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Data Science from UC Berkeley. His academic background shapes his practical and results-driven approach to leadership: using data to better understand community needs, measure impact, and advance solutions that actually work for everyday people. He brings a strong record of organizing, partnership-building, and operational leadership, guided by the values of honesty, accountability, empathy, and cultural awareness.
Daniel's campaign is centered on three core commitments: immigrant rights, dignity, and due process; mental health and healthcare access for all families; and an economy that works for everyone, with living wages, strong benefits, and safer working conditions for farmworkers, warehouse workers, factory workers, and working families across the Central Valley.
Daniel is running for Congress to bring community-first leadership to Washington — leadership that listens, shows up, and fights for the people who keep the Central Valley going.
Daniel's Campaign Commitments
Three pillars centered on the people and families of the Central Valley
Dignity & Due Process
Dignidad y Debido Proceso
All Families and community members are entitled to the human right of going to work, school, and the doctor without fear. I defend this basic human right by protecting due process to keep our communities in the Central Valley strong, safe, and stable. This must be a guarantee for all regardless of their background.

Salud Mental y Atención Médica
Healthcare is far too expensive with too few accessible facilities and not enough culturally-trained providers. One in five families in the Central Valley live below the poverty line. This places families in dire situations that leads to many unable to get care when they need it. I am prioritizing the expansion of mental health and healthcare access for our communities so everyone can receive the healthcare they need closer to home and without shame or financial stress.

Buenos Empleos y Pago Justo
The Central Valley is historically built on the backs of our communities' exploited labor, from farmworkers to warehouse and factory workers to service workers. We all deserve the right to live, shelter, to choose to raise a family, and live with dignity. We can work to make a living, and not have to. I will fight for equitable wages, strong benefits, and safer working conditions for our communities in the Central Valley to thrive.
